Problems with your Braces can generally be classified as either two things; breakages or emergencies.
BREAKAGES
A breakage is where the appliance you are wearing has come loose, broken or is not fitting as it did; however, it is not hurting you. The best course of action for breakages is to wait until the next working day and contact our practice. We will then arrange for your breakage to be fixed as soon as possible. It is imperative that you do not wait until your next appointment to let you us know.
EMERGENCIES
An emergency is where your appliance has come loose, broken etc. and is hurting you. The best course of action is to phone the practice and get the on call number. Then call this number and speak with the Orthodontist for advice. It may be that a visit to the practice is required though quite often over the phone advice will be sufficient.
